Indiana-based Premier Group created a high-performance, immersive audio system, powered by L-Acoustics, a brand that’s trending in residential installations

The company’s latest home theater project leaves no detail to chance in terms of design and performance, with an impressive L-Acoustics audio solution perfectly capturing Premier Group’s approach to excellence.
Premier Group and L-Acoustics first began collaborating in the home and yacht space three years ago. With his background in the professional audio industry, Barth needed little convincing on the merits of L-Acoustics technologies in applications for the residential market.
“L-Acoustics is the global powerhouse in pro audio, so I was very familiar with their products,” says Jason. “When they showed me their solutions for the home and yacht market, it was a very emotional decision for me because I loved the brand so much and I knew everything about it right out of the gate. In 2021, the CEDIA channel needed another speaker line like a hole in the head, but L-Acoustics is the real deal, not just an upstart company or a brand OEMing something. They have the right suite of products for our customers, and they built all the support for this vertical under the L-Acoustics umbrella. I knew that it would be a great brand to offer our clients at Premier, and so it’s proving.”
In this latest installation, Premier Group worked with local builder, Hoss Homes, and luxury interior design studio, Lanz Collective, to create a multi-purpose room that works as a comfortable social and entertainment space as well as a fantastically immersive home theater. The large area is sub-divided in two with an attractive kitchen, bar, diner and TV room to the rear and a 7.1.4 Dolby Atmos cinema with luxury seating for eight people to the front.
Rich, pristine and powerful immersive audio system in this dynamic space is delivered by a winning combination of L-Acoustics X8 and X4i 2-way passive coaxial loudspeakers and Syva Low 12” sub-woofers. Three X8 8” in-wall speakers provide the LCR channels with four ultra-compact X4i 4” in-wall speakers acting as the surround channels and a further four X4i 4” in-ceiling speakers providing height channels. Four additional L-Acoustics Syva Sub bring the bass in the low-frequency effects (LFE) channels. All L-Acoustics speakers are quick and easy to install and integrate discreetly into the stunning interior while offering natural, premium sound quality, high maximum SPL and a wide dispersion pattern. Two LA4X and two LA2Xi amplified controllers ensure the installation packs all the power needed for the space while providing professional audio grade reliability.
Premier Group is working on several home theater projects and party barn installations with L-Acoustics in 2024 as the brand goes from strength to strength in the CEDIA channel across the US.
